All aboard the Jason Aldean 2013 Night Train Tour. Entertainer of the Year nominee Jason Aldean is continuing to make gold of everything he touches. Aldean's been on a some what destructive tour, breaking and/or destroying sales and touring records iall over the U.S. Recently Jason announced that his 2013 Night Train Tour will make a stop in west Texas. On Saturday, May 4th the record breaking, award winning Jason Aldean Night Train will make a whistle stop at the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock. Jason is not coming alone either, special guests Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett will open the show.

Since the original story appeared in January, several cities remain as finalists in the 'Pedigree Pet Food Feeding Project.' they are Wausau WI, Erie PA, Detroit/Flint MI, Jackson MS and Jacksonville FL. The two winning communities are in the process of being determined and will be announced in the coming weeks. I'll keep you posted as to who the winners are.
April 22, 2013 When I first ran across the talking dog video where his owner was describing all kinds of food, I thought I was going to bust a gut with laughter. Now here's yet another talking dog video but this pooch wants a kitten. What is it that makes these videos so funny? Is it the dogs expressions or the fact that dogs can't talk and I'm buying into this? Nonetheless, check it out and let me know what you think.
April 19, 2013 Brad Paisley has struck gold with his newest C.D. "Wheelhouse." It's already sold over 100,000 albums since being released just a few days ago. "Wheelhouse" is on track to go gold if not platinum in the next six weeks or so, which is great news for Paisley being that Brad went completely off the normal path of album making. Not only did Brad throw the 'album making rule book' out the window, he says in the album notes "we had only one rule and that was, there are no rules." That may have made the difference as the album debuted at No.1 on Billboard's Country Charts.
April 18, 2013 Kramer is a super sweet little guy that only weighs 22 pounds. He's a tan and white Cardigan Welsh Corgi mix, with all the right markings and the most awesome personality to match. Larry with the Animal Control Shelter says "Kramer came in as a stray with no tags and was never recovered by his original owners, but I can tell this is someones expensive house dog. I'm not for sure but I believe he could be house broken, you just never know." Kramer is sweet but very lonely.
April 18, 2013 No official word from the 'Keith camp' as to when Krystal Keith's full album will be available. Being she's the daughter of country super star Toby Keith, the question begs to be asked. How much influence and/or help did 'daddy's girl' get on her own project. The answer is clear, papa Keith is not only producing the project, father and daughter are co-writing on a few songs as well. I'll warn you now, the first song will make you cry like a 4 year old that dropped his ice cream. I have five daughters and this song got to me!
April 18, 2013 While collecting all the information for this blog, I discovered the differences between all of the concealed handgun license (CHL) classes. All of the following will cover the minimum legal requirements, while others help you with your getting your photo and fingerprint credentials and all the necessary paperwork. The prices ranged from $69 up to $150 just for the CHL class. The big difference is who is teaching it, where it's being taught and with some , since it's an all day event some include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Class sizes range in size too, from 6 to a class up to 25 to 30 per class. Here's the list.

April 17, 2013 A couple of weeks ago I wrote a blog about Diamond Rio coming to the Lone Star State to play a concert at Billy Bob's Texas and questioned whether it would be 'Country' or 'Christian' music concert. While researching for that blog I ran across Diamond Rio's music video 'Meet in the Middle.' The song debut in 1991 and the band became the first group in the history of country music to have a debut single reach No. 1. I checked out the video and wham! Like a 2x4 between the eyes. Five dudes with very pronounced mullets.
April 17, 2013 I never know what to expect from Blake Shelton, so when his new single hit my desk I closed my door, turned up my speakers and hit play. What I was not expecting was to here the "ACM's Song of the Year" winner doing country-rap. It's not like real R&B rap, but more so the way a boy from the sticks in Texas might do rap. Get ready to like it, because it will grow on you. Check it out and tell me what you think.
April 16, 2013 Friday Saturday and Sunday was awesome, especially for the homeless animals from Abilene and 19 surrounding counties. Just as one pet was being adopted, someone else would step up to the table and say "I want that little guy there, how much is he, and who do I pay?" Aaron Vannoy with the City's Animal Shelter says "the final numbers are still being counted, but one thing is for certain, we beat last years numbers." Rescue the Animals worker Mindy said "I know how many forms be brought and we ran out."
April 15, 2013 Let's get one thing straight, I am not afraid of zombies, I am just creeped out by them, I don't like them and I dang sure don't want to be around them, ever! Now, if this is your cup of tea then knock yourself out cowboy, run till your hearts content. Will I help out the Buffalo Gap Historical Village (BGHV) with their annual fundraiser? You bet, but this "Fearless" deejay will not be dodging zombies on the back roads of Buffalo Gap.
