Though ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues‘ isn't due in theaters until the end of the year, in anticipation of the sequel to one of the most quotable films ever made, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream have created a flavor in tribute to Will Ferrell's character Ron Burgundy. That flavor? Scotchy Scotch Scotch.

As announced on their website, the flavor Scotchy Scotch Scotch will contain no alcohol (though we expect it to be compelling and rich), instead it will feature butterscotch ice cream with butterscotch swirls. Basically, butterscotch overkill. Here's a look at the upcoming flavor:

This is the movie's second obvious promotional tie-in, following a series of ubiquitous car commercials. It seems likely the reason for all this corporate synergy is because Paramount was always reticent to make a sequel. The first film was modestly profitable (and much bigger on home video, which is less of a factor these days), while Ferrell's films rarely have much international appeal, which helps explain why it took nine years to get a follow up. It appears that director Adam McKay and his stars have signed on to do some product placement as a way to buffer the costs for the studio. 'Anchorman 2' hits theaters December 20.
