Blake Shelton Spent the 2017 ACM Awards at Home
Many of country music's major stars were present in Las Vegas for the 2017 ACM Awards, but not Blake Shelton. For Shelton, nothing beats a quiet evening on the plains of Oklahoma, where he spent his Sunday night (April 2) while his peers were at Country's Party of the Year.
Shelton wasn't nominated for any ACM awards this year, so he opted to relax at home with a drink in his hand, overlooking his land, instead of dressing up. Shelton also did not attend the 2016 CMA Awards due to The Voice filming, in addition to a hunting trip.
Missing another country awards show doesn’t mean he hasn’t been busy, however. Shelton has once again been filming The Voice in addition to touring and celebrating another No. 1 in “A Guy With a Girl.” He was also recently bummed to learn of his own reported death, to which he responded in true Shelton fashion:
When he's not performing, Shelton spends a lot of time with girlfriend Gwen Stefani — and sometimes her kids, too. Stefani recently posted a photo of her three boys' arms alongside Shelton’s, revealing they’d drawn on deer-track and barbed-wire tattoos to match his. The couple have been together for over a year now.
