Nominations Open Soon For Inspiring West Texas Teachers
Every year, as students head back to school across West Texas, there’s one group of people ready to change lives all over again, teachers. These everyday heroes don’t just teach from textbooks. They lift spirits, mend broken hearts, and help guide students through some of life’s toughest moments.
And now, it’s almost time to shine the spotlight on them, As Arrow Ford, KTXS TV, The Ranch 92.5, and KEAN-105 will be hitting the road in search of those unique, one of a kind, loving, caring educators.

What Is the Teacher Tribute?
Since 2010, I’ve proudly been part of the Teacher Tribute Prize Patrol, a team that travels to schools across the Big Country with one mission: to recognize teachers who’ve made a powerful difference in their students’ lives. Check out the Teacher Tribute video below as it takes you back in time.
When the selected students read their nomination letters out loud in front of classmates and staff, tears flow. These stories are deeply moving, some are about learning struggles, while others involve heartbreak, grief, and the incredible teachers who helped them through.
Kindergarten to senior year, these students write from the heart. And those teachers? They remind us what compassion and courage look like.
What Makes a Teacher Stand Out?
We’re looking for teachers who:
- Helped a student through the loss of a loved one
- Made time when no one else did
- Listened, encouraged, and lifted up
- Went above and beyond their classroom duties
These are the educators who change lives, the ones we’re here to honor.

Final Thoughts from Rudy
As my dad used to say, “If enough fingers are pointed, blame can be placed.” But Teacher Tribute flips that, we point fingers in praise.
Let’s lift up the teachers who show up every day with heart, passion, and purpose. Get ready to share your story and celebrate the teacher who helped shape your future.
And when that nomination form is ready, we’ll be back to remind you.
