Earlier this month, the Red Dirt scene lost one of it's most influential members in Tom Skinner. Legends including Cody Canada, Stoney LaRue, Mike McClure and Jason Boland have all expressed the love they for the man.

I must admit, I don't think I've ever gotten excited over and artist coming out of retirement or band getting back together again. But, when I heard The Great Divide (TGD) was back together, with Mike McClure back on lead vocals I felt like a kid in a candy store with a fist full of birthday cash. The Great Divide was a huge success about 10 years ago and then they, unfortunately, went their separate ways.  We haven't heard from them in almost 10 years.  Some of the members did some solo projects but as a group the music was gone.  Not anymore!  The group reconciled, buried the hatchet and got back to the important stuff. Great music.
