When an earthquake hits, crawl under furniture. When a flood hits, get to higher ground. And when Hurricane Isaac hits, Tebow. That’s right, it looks like that iconic internet sensation known as Tebowing is one of our best defenses against harsh winds and rain.

Summer is one of our favorite times to booze. There’s nothing like cracking open a beer on the beach, or sipping on a whiskey on the back porch in a T-shirt and shorts. Though our favorite season is beginning to wane, east coasters are still smack in the middle of hurricane season, which runs from June 1- November 30th.

May 27- June 2, is national Hurricane Preparedness Week. To help Texans better understand and prepare for the hurricane season especially in hurricane-prone areas, videos and audio public service announcements featuring NOAA hurricane experts and the FEMA administrator, are being made available in both English and Spanish.
