School starts for college kids in the next few weeks. What will they need, for the dorm/apartment, or better yet for class? I have 3 gadgets that could make a college students life much easier. They may seem a bit pricey but remember they are an "investment" in your child's future.
Hard to believe but the new school year is just a few weeks away. That means getting new school supplies, clothing and shoes for the kids. To make things a little easier on your pocket book the Abilene Association of Realtors, Salvation Army of Abilene and Payless Shoe Source have teamed up to give kids up to 5th grade a new pair of shoes for the school year.
The local United Supermarkets are getting you ready for 'back to school' with a school supply drive for kindergarteners. The will provide kindergarten classrooms with two new, age appropriate books and school supplies needed for a successful year.
It's now August and that means Back-to-School. Hard to believe it's right around the corner but school will start in about 3 week; August 27th for both Abilene & Wylie ISD. Everyone will need school supplies but sometimes money can be tight and folks could use a little help. That's where "stuff the bus" locations can provide some relief.
Trinity Baptist Church youth Pastor Joseph Plagge says they're planning one last bash before school starts. The event is will take place at Trinity Baptist Church located at 871 Woodlawn Drive. It is free and open to children ages 3 years old thru 5th grade. Plagge says "this will also be a perfect opportunity to introduce neighborhood children to AWANA."
It's almost time for school to start back. For some kids it will be their first day of school, for others it's entering a new grade for yet others, they may be entering a whole new school.
No matter what the stress level for some kids can go up with anxiety and fear of the unknown.
