Friends of the Abilene State Park are hosting a “Life’s Better Outside” 5K run at the Abilene State Park. The run is scheduled for Saturday April 5th with registration beginning at 8:00am and the race starts 9:00am. This promises to be a beautiful and very scenic route. The Abilene State Park is bringing back Frontier Day to the park this Saturday, November 3rd. There will be lots of fun activities for the entire family but more than that a good history lesson. Not only is it Frontier Day but also the 20th anniversary of the Buffalo Soldiers program.
