At the beginning of this year, the buzz was that engaged Steel Magnolia partners Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones were parting ways professionally and potentially in their relationship as well. But now, the country duo — who are currently nominated for ACM Vocal Duo of the Year — are slated to play the ACM Experience, which will be held March 30-April 1 in Las Vegas. And this announcement seems to have put rumors to rest… for a little while.

For the event, the ‘Keep On Lovin’ You’ singers will be joining up with country acts including Edens Edge, Gloriana, Ira Dean, Levi Lowrey, Kip Moore and LoCash Cowboys, among others. The three-day event will culminate with the ACM Fan Jam, hosted by Zac Brown Band, on Sunday, April 1, the same day as the awards show telecast.

Though the duo are coming together to perform at the 2012 ACMs festivities, their assumed breakup came at the beginning of this year when they canceled a Tennessee concert. A news source reported Niswonger Performing Executive Director Darrell Bryan as saying, “It is our understanding that the duo is no longer performing together, We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our patrons.”

Whether that statement wasn’t true at the time or the duo’s status has simply changed since then, Steel Magnolia seem to be back and just as strong as ever. In addition to their ACM Experience performance, Linsey recently took part in ‘A Night to Make It Right,’ an event hosted by Ellen DeGeneres that benefited Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation, which works to rebuild the Ninth Ward section of Linsey’s New Orleans hometown — a place that still bears the scars of Hurricane Katrina.

“When you see all the good that can come from being creative, the way you can make tangible differences as well as inspire people who’re coming through things,” Linsey told the Boot of the event, “that’s a lot of what drove me to Nashville to chase my dream.”
