Ray Johnston stopped through Abilene to promote his new single, 'More Crown Than Coke', and followed up his visit to the KEAN Afternoon Show with a trip up to The Station Bar for a quick hour-long acoustic show. I caught up with Ray after the show to ask him some questions I missed on the radio.

Johnston is fast gaining a reputation as a terrific live performer. His solid country songs are complemented nicely by his carefree stage presence, whether he's doing a full band show or solo acoustic. After his gig at The Station, I stopped him to ask a few questions about his live show, among other things. Check it out:

during his 60 minutes at The Station Bar, Ray dragged his microphone and guitar off the stage, to the middle of the bar to get closer to his audience. It would be easy to simply play a few songs and hit the road, but Johnston put on a memorable show and put up an argument for coming back to do a full band gig here, hopefully real soon!

Look for a new Ray Johnston Band album in September, which will include 'More Crown Than Coke'. Meanwhile, get all the latest show info and news from his official website. You can also keep track of him on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and get all of the Ray Johnston Band's current music on iTunes.
