I Asked Our Listeners To Name Their Favorite Texas Red Dirt Artists
One of the questions I get asked most as Program Director of The Ranch 92.5 is, "How do you decide what music gets played?"

The truth is, while charts, streaming numbers, and industry trends all play a role, nothing matters more than hearing directly from the people who listen every day.
That's why I recently asked a simple question on Facebook:

"Who are your Top 5 favorite Texas Red Dirt artists?"
The responses started rolling in quickly, and while there were plenty of great answers, several names appeared multiple times. The results offered a great reminder of just how passionate Texas Red Dirt fans are about the artists they love.

Why Listener Input Matters
One thing I've learned during my years in radio is that the playlist isn't about me—it's about you.
As Program Director of The Ranch 92.5, I pay close attention when listeners tell us what they love because that's exactly how great radio should work. Your feedback helps shape what we play, what we feature, and what artists we spotlight.
Looking at these responses, it's easy to understand why Texas Red Dirt music continues to grow. The artists are authentic, the songs tell real stories, and the fans are among the most passionate anywhere.
Now I'd love to hear from even more listeners.
