The college basketball season already has a feel-good story, and it hasn't even officially begun. After surviving two plane crashes in his young life (the second left him in a coma), Austin Hatch did something most probably thought impossible. He played basketball, and scored his first point for the Michigan Wolverines.

In June 2011, nine days after being offered a basketball scholarship to Michigan, Austin was seriously injured in the 2nd plane crash of his life. Despite Austin's life-altering injuries, Beilein kept the scholarship offer in place, and more than three years later, Hatch made his Michigan debut on Monday night (11/10) in an exhibition game.

Inserted late into a blowout win against Wayne State, Hatch was fouled in the final seconds. After missing his first free throw, he sank the second, and was promptly taken out of the game so he could enjoy a hug from his coach and an enormous ovation from the home crowd. Check out the video:
