Election day is almost here and it's time to go make yourself be heard and vote. There are several locations throughout Abilene and Taylor County where one can cast their ballot. Remember to take a valid identification.

While in the past you had to know your precinct number to be able to go to your voting place. However, that's not the case anymore (thanks to computers) you can vote at any of the locations listed below so long as you are within your city and county.

However, If you're like me, I don't know what my precinct number is. Not a problem, simply enter some basic information (like name and birth date or license number) into the States VoteTexas.gov website and it will give you, voting locations near you. Please find the time to go vote today and click through to find your polling location.

Election Day voting hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at all polling places statewide. It is also a big plus if you have your voter registration card with you when you enter your polling place. For questions regarding polling places or for more information, always consult with the Taylor County Elections Office website first or give them a call at: (325) 674-1216.

Again, please remember to take some form of picture identification and be prepared to wait at some polling places during certain times. To avoid having to wait, try voting earlier in the day as lines tend to jam up closer to the poll closing time on election day Tuesday, November 8th., 2022.
