The Pistol Annies performed onstage at Wednesday's (Oct. 17) CMT Artists of the Year event, then they performed again backstage. It's the grand return of Glam Jam, Grease style!

Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe invited friends, including Gwen Sebastian, to sing "You’re the One That I Want" behind the scenes, and Lambert shared footage of the performance on her Instagram page, exclaiming "because it’s ladies night!"

Women in Country Music Are Banding Together ... It's Time for a Revolution:

CMT's annual Artists of the Year event honors, well, the Artists of the Year, but in 2018 they spun it on its head by honoring only female artists. Carrie UnderwoodMaren MorrisKelsea Ballerini, Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town and Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum were the night's honorees, and Pistol Annies performed their song "Sugar Daddy" from their upcoming album Interstate Gospel.

"I was so excited and proud when I saw this whole show was dedicated to these amazing women who have all inspired me," Lambert noted in her Artists of the Year acceptance speech. "I'm thrilled to celebrate how hard we work tonight, and how much we are a community as women and lift each other up and respect each other."

The night was momentous, but the Glam Jam performance is all in good fun — especially considering Lambert is singing into a wine bottle. It's nothing new for the star, who through the years has collaborated in dressing room jam sessions with fellow honorees MorrisLBT and more.
