This may come as a shock but men secretly love ladies pantyhose. I don't understand because most women HATE pantyhose. They are hot, binding and uncomfortable. Apparently men find them comfortable though. So yes, there is a market for so called man pantyhose and there are a few different names that they go by. Mantyhose, Brosiery, Guylons, He-tards, and Beau-hose to name a few.

There are designers that have noticed that noticed their ladies pantyhose were being purchased by men for their own use. So they are no marketing "unisex" hosiery to their clientele.

One such designer is Emilio Cavallini. He has an online boutique that features unisex hosiery. They come in a variety of colors from plain black to striped, checkered and even skulls. Cavallini says that male purchase of his hosiery is anywhere from 2-3% which means 20-30,000 purchases are from men for their personal use (not as gifts for women).

Mostly men are buying and wearing the hose as a fashion statement but their are a few it seems that wear them under pants for warmth in the winter (strongest male sales were in the coldest countries) and also for medical purposes like varicose veins (Activskin).

There is a company in the US that carries the men's hosiery called "Activskin". G. Lieberman & Sons, Ltd. provides the leg/loungewear for men for purposes ranging from leg health and stamina, sports performance to just plain ole loungewear.  They come in different styles and colors and some even have a front zipper.

Would you wear these, in public? For more details see the ActivSkin Legwear for Men Facebook page.
