Luke Bryan Performs ‘Light It Up’ at 2017 CMA Awards
CMA Awards nominee for Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan took the stage on Country Music's Biggest Night to perform his song "Light It Up." The 2017 CMA Awards ceremony took place on Wednesday night (Nov. 8), at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
Bryan wowed the crowd with his electric performance of the lead single to his upcoming sixth studio album, What Makes You Country. "Light It Up" was released in August and peaked at No. 8 on the Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts. Written by Bryan and Brad Tursi of Old Dominion, "Light It Up" is all about the hard waiting that comes when the object of your affection hasn't texted you back.
Along with his Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day Tour, which took Bryan everywhere this year, the country superstar also performed the National Anthem at Super Bowl LI in Houston, Texas, in early February. In September, Bryan was announced as a judge on the upcoming revival of American Idol. What Makes You Country, comes out Dec. 8.
