The newest trailer for sci-fi horror film Life is probably its best yet. We already know the basic plot, thanks to the other trailers that have been released (scientists on a space station find a living organism floating through the void that turns out to be a not-so-friendly extraterrestrial monster), so this trailer can be as short and sweet as it wants, while giving us some more of that squicky human hand vs. gross alien tentacle action. Spoiler alert: the hand loses.

Sci-fi horror is a criminally underused genre, and seeing a movie with some cool visuals and a bunch of A-list stars that’s basically the answer to the pitch, “What if Gravity, but scary?” is exciting. The story is simple, so it’ll be the actors’ performances that will have to launch this one and there’s no reason they won’t be able to pull it off. And that alien is pretty darn terrifying.

Here’s the synopsis:

Life tells the story of the six-member crew of the International Space Station that is on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As the crew begins to conduct research, their methods end up having unintended consequences and the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.

Life, starring Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Ariyon Bakare, hits theaters March 24.
