Kody West Returns to Abilene After 5 Years
It’s been a few years since Texas Red Dirt favorite Kody West last played in Abilene, back at the West Texas Fair & Rodeo. Now, he’s coming back for a show you won’t want to miss. Catch him Friday, August 15th at 8 PM at Big Country Live at the Big Country Beer Garden. Tickets are on sale now at bigcountrybeergarden.com, and we’ll be there live for this one.

Why Kody West Stands Out
Kody first started playing music in 2014, hustling his way through acoustic gigs and songwriter competitions in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He soon hit the road with Dalton Domino and the Front Porch Family, where he learned the ropes of touring and built a loyal fan base that’s been with him ever since.
When I play Kody West’s music on the air, it’s because it’s good. He’s got that natural Texas Rockin' Country and a slight Bluegrass touch that fits perfectly on the radio but comes alive on stage. When he releases a new song, I’m one of the first in line to give it a listen. He’s just got that feel and vibe that connects.
From Higher Ground to Today
In 2016, Kody released his debut EP Higher Ground with the single “Playing Cards”, setting the tone for his style, heartfelt lyrics, smooth grooves, and a touch of grit. Not long after, he put together a full band and has been touring nonstop, delivering the kind of shows that fans remember long after the lights go down.
August 15th, The Night Is Yours
Abilene, this is your chance to see Kody West back in town and better than ever. Great music, cold drinks, delicious food, and that unmistakable Texas vibe, it’s all waiting for you.
