Kane Brown rocked his Columbia, S.C., audience on Friday (Jan. 25) with a cover of the All-American Rejects' 2008 hit "Gives You Hell." Readers can press play above to hear Brown, accompanied by the crowd, singing every word to the iconic, late-2000s breakup song.

After leading for most of the song, Brown paused to let his fans take over the final chorus of "Gives You Hell." The song was written by Nick Wheeler and Tyson Ritter as the lead single from the pop-punk band's third studio album, 2008's When the World Comes Down. It landed at No. 1 on the Adult Top 40 and has been certified multi-platinum -- their most successful song to date.

"Alright South Carolina, this is y'all's time to sing along ... Y'all ready?" Brown says before launching into the chant: "When you see my face / Hope it gives you hell / Hope it gives you hell / When you walk my way / Hope it gives you hell / Hope it gives you hell / If you find a man that's worth a damn and treats you well / Then he's a fool, you're just as well / Hope it gives you hell / Hope it gives you hell."

Brown released his sophomore album, Experimenton Nov. 9. He recently began his headlining Live Forever Tour, his first arena headlining trek, which included this South Carolina stop. Granger SmithRaeLynnDanielle Bradbery and Jimmie Allen are out on the road with him.
