Jingle All the Way to Market Days at Wylie Christian Church

With Christmas right around the corner, it's time to start thinking about buying that special someone that special something that you won't find at any of the megastores.

The perfect opportunity to find those one-of-a-kind thingamajigs can be found at the Wylie Christian Church (WCC) at 6250 Buffalo Gap Rd during the church's Market Days event. Furthermore, shopping at Market Days helps out the youth at WCC as well as others in our community who need help.

WCC member Pastor Roni Stanton says, "Our church group hosts our monthly Market Days every third Saturday of the month, however, due to the church hosting its Thanksgiving dinner on the third weekend of the month we moved it to November 11th." Market Days is open from 8 am until 3 pm.

I attend a lot of these church-related sales events. They are one of my favorite pastimes. Truth be known, "church sales" are where I find my most awesome possessions. Case in point, the guitar purse I carry around when broadcasting live.

WCC happens to be the place where I cook both a Thanksgiving and Christmas meal for those who have no place or family with whom to spend the holiday. Pastor Doug Roysden has allowed me to cook and serve those in need every year for over a decade, and it happens at WCC.

That said, this is an extraordinary church. If you want to put some cash in your pocket while helping the WCC youth group, set up a booth and sell your goods. Get your spot reserved early by contacting Pastor Roni at (325) 691-0400. Donations are also being accepted at the church.
