Singer Jewel and rodeo star Ty Murry are happy parents now. Their son Kase Townes Murray was born Monday July 11, around 7 p.m. Kase weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 21 inches long. Ty and Jewel reside in Texas, Stephenville to be exact. Momma Jewel spoke to People Magazine saying, "Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy into the world, we are so overcome with happiness it really is as great as everyone told us it would be, better even!"

Jewel got the news she was expecting on the very first day on the job of the reality show Platinum Hit. "I took a pregnancy test and it was positive!" she told PEOPLE. "It was so hard to keep it a secret."

The happy couple spent the last nine months remodeling a room in their 2,200 acre ranch house into a nursery for Kase Townes Murray, future Rodeo riding country music singing superstar.  Jewel's new children's album, The Merry Goes 'Round, will be released in August.

The pictures show daddy to be Ty always holds the expectant moms belly.

36 year old Jewel had a difficult time conceiving, then she was in an auto accident at five months pregnant. When she left the hospital she was still pregnant but was concerned for the health and safety of her unborn child.
