Call it what you want. But, we know it's the stadium where the Dallas Cowboys play. And, apparently the stadium has had a couple of names and it's about to get another one!

The FIFA WORLD CUP is coming to Texas and this is the primary reason for a new name.

When the new stadium opened up, it's official name was COWBOYS STADIUM. It was May 13, 2009 when Jerry Jones revealed the name of the new stadium. It would be known as COWBOYS STADIUM 4 years until it finally got some naming rights.

AT&T STADIUM WAS THE 2ND NAME OF THE STADIUM!

It was a matter of time before NAMING RIGHTS and money would take over and in 2013 it did.  On July 25, 2013, Jerry Jones announced that the Dallas Cowboys had agreed to grant naming rights to AT&T. The name change from Cowboys Stadium to AT&T Stadium took effect immediately. And, it's been known as AT&T Stadium  ever since.

DALLAS STADIUM WILL BE THE 3RD NAME OF THE STADIUM

Yep, DALLAS STADIUM, will be the 3rd name of the stadium thanks to FIFA World Cup. The FIFA World CUP is coming to TEXAS and semi-final games will be played at the stadium but because of FIFA rules, the stadium can not be tied to any kind of naming rights, so for a while,  AT&T will be dropped as the name and they will go with DALLAS STADIUM.

According to si.com....

The matches begin in June, with this wrinkle: World Cup venues are not allowed to affiliate branded names. So for a short time, the Cowboys' home will reportedly be re-christened "Dallas Stadium.'' Yes, even though it's in Arlington.
