If you love cool cars, good food, and helping out a great cause, the 3rd Annual Serenity Texas Car Show was the place to be this weekend.

Hundreds of people packed the First Baptist Church parking lot in Abilene to support Serenity House, and honestly, I think this was the best Serenity Texas Car Show yet.

Huge Turnout For The Serenity Texas Car Show

When I rolled in around 10 a.m., there were already rows of cars on display and plenty of folks walking around checking them out. From classic muscle cars and vintage cruisers to lifted trucks and custom builds, there was something for every car lover.

The weather even cooperated. We got a few sprinkles throughout the day, but the overcast skies kept things comfortable. For a Texas car show in late May, that's about as good as it gets.

Petting Zoo And Food Trucks Were Big Hits

One of the newest additions this year was a petting zoo, and if you were wondering where all the kids were, that's where they were.

The food truck lineup was also outstanding, featuring Tacolote, Dragon Soul Hibachi, Fresh AF Shaved Ice, Sherrod's Craft BBQ, and Abilene Texas Smoke & Spice Co. Whether you wanted tacos, barbecue, or something cold to cool off, there were plenty of options.

Great Cars And A Great Cause

Last year I had the tough job of helping judge the vehicles. This year I got to simply enjoy them, and I was thankful for that because there were way too many amazing rides to choose from.

But beyond the cars, food, and fun, this event was all about supporting Serenity House and the important work they do in our community.

That's what makes events like this special. You get to catch up with old friends, meet new people, admire some incredible rides, and do some good for the hood all at the same time.
