Thank goodness fall is just around the corner in Texas. I mean, you can practically feel the pumpkin spice in the air. And if fall had a headquarters, it would be the Dallas Arboretum’s Autumn at the Arboretum. Every year, they go all out, and this season is no exception.

We’re talking over 100,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash taking over the grounds, turning the Arboretum into a whimsical Pumpkin Village straight out of a storybook.

Pumpkins Meet Culture: ¡Mundo México

This year’s theme is ¡Mundo México!, showcasing massive Spirit Guide sculptures created by Oaxacan artists Jacobo and María Ángeles. Each one celebrates the vibrant culture of different regions of Mexico, mixing bold colors, intricate designs, and a whole lot of artistic flair. Plus, it’s just a lot of pumpkins!

Texas Pumpkin Overload in Action

I rounded up some of the Arboretum’s own photos from their Facebook page and put them into a gallery. Trust me, you really have to see this pumpkin madness to believe it. It’s like pumpkins staged a full takeover. Scroll through and you’ll get why words alone just can’t capture it.

Pumpkins & Pints and Special Events You’ll Love

Beyond the daytime spectacle, the Arboretum has special nights like Pumpkins & Pints, where the village glows under twinkling lights while you sip on local craft beer and wine, grab bites from food trucks, and even catch folkloric dancers. Perfect date night vibes, pumpkin-style.

Whether you’re after a selfie in Pumpkin Village, a cultural deep dive, or just an excuse to say “wow, that’s a lot of pumpkins,” the Dallas Arboretum’s autumn festival delivers.

Go check them out, and imagine all of the pumpkin-spiced lattes you can make from them. Happy Fall (soon), y'all!
