On Thursday, July 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Texas Roadhouse in Abilene will once again host Tip A Cop in support of Special Olympics Texas.

The event is taking place at participating Texas Roadhouse locations across the state, with local law enforcement agencies teaming up with Special Olympics Texas to raise money for athletes in their communities.

For one evening, you'll see local law enforcement officers doing something a little different. Instead of directing traffic or answering calls, they'll be helping serve guests, greeting customers, and collecting donations for a cause that's near and dear to many Texans.

Now, don't worry. They're not actually taking over the kitchen. Nobody wants to explain how a speeding ticket ended up in their mashed potatoes.

The goal is simple: raise money for Special Olympics Texas and help provide opportunities for athletes to compete, train, and thrive.
