Last week's edition of The Weekend Buzz had a little bit of everything: cold beer, World Cup soccer, neighborhood stories, and some great conversation with local business owner Aneesa Bacon of Insurance Shoppe in downtown Abilene.

Since Michelob Ultra is an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup, we decided to put Aneesa's taste buds to the test with a blind taste challenge featuring Michelob Ultra and Michelob Ultra Zero. Could she tell the difference between the traditional beer and its non-alcoholic counterpart? You'll have to listen to the interview below to find out.

Beyond the beer, we spent some time getting to know Aneesa outside of the office. We talked about her Texas roots, her unmistakable Southern accent, life as a business owner, and what it's been like watching downtown Abilene continue to grow and evolve over the years.

As one of our actual neighbors, the conversation felt more like friends hanging out on the back porch than a formal interview.

Insurance, AI, Sports, and Life Lessons

We also dove into the insurance world, including some of the strangest questions she's received from customers, whether artificial intelligence is changing the industry, and what makes personal relationships still so important in business.

The conversation also touched on her love for the Texas Rangers and San Antonio Spurs, her journey as a cancer survivor, and the perspective she's gained through life's challenges.

Take a listen to the full interview below for another laid-back edition of The Weekend Buzz.
