Look, I know social media is usually full of memes, food pics, and somebody arguing about the Cowboys…again. But now and then, something pops up that actually matters, and this is one of those moments.

The Abilene Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating an orange Dodge Charger connected to a homicide investigation here in Abilene.

This Isn’t One To Ignore

I’m not trying to be dramatic here, but when police issue an “Attempt to Locate” tied to a homicide case, that’s serious business.

And let’s be honest…an orange Dodge Charger kinda stands out. This isn’t exactly a beige Corolla blending into the Walmart parking lot. Somebody out there has probably seen this thing at a gas station, apartment complex, stoplight, or parked somewhere around town.

That’s why these public alerts matter.

What Police Want You To Do

According to the Abilene Police Department:

  • Vehicle: Orange Dodge Charger
  • Texas plate: PXB3237

If you see it:

  • Do NOT approach the vehicle
  • Do NOT try to play detective
  • Contact the Abilene Police immediately

Seriously, this isn’t the time for somebody to turn into a low-budget episode of Fast & Furious: Big Country Drift. Let law enforcement handle it.

Keep Your Eyes Open, Abilene

One thing I’ve always appreciated about Abilene and the Big Country is that when something serious happens, people usually step up and help out.

So keep your eyes open while you’re out grabbing tacos, headed to work, sitting in school pickup lines, or making that mandatory United run because somehow you’re out of everything again.

If more details are released by investigators, we’ll keep you updated.
