Is Your Refrigerator Smarter Than You?

A few weeks ago I posted about a new toilet that did just about everything but mow the lawn.  Now I've found a refrigerator that will do just about everything but cook for you.  Get ready to pay a pretty penny for it though.The refrigerator, Samsung RF4289 LCD, will be available this month for a mere $3,500.  Now wait a minute, you haven't heard what all it does yet.  Most refrigerators hold your groceries but how many do you know that can find you a recipe and make you a grocery list?  And all those notes and photos you have posted on the doors and sides (I don't even know what color my frig is anymore) those can be stored and viewed on the 8 in. touch screen that's built in the door.  It can tell you the weather courtesy of WeatherBug and you can listen to music from Pandora.  Wait, there's MORE!

[You can]  Create a family calendar and you can sync it with your smartphone, computers or any other device that can pull in Google Calendar information. I always input appointments directly into my phone and with this, I could send them to my husband and the fridge, so everyone has the same information.

Other companies besides Samsung will have smart fridges coming out later this year that will even tell you the expiration date on your groceries.  I don't know about you but if I'm gonna pay that much money I think it should also do the cooking and cleaning!!!
