Dolly Parton is hoping to lighten the load on our hearts this year with a new holiday album. A Holly Dolly Christmas will arrive before Christmas and includes a number of celebrity collaborations.

"I have just finished a Christmas album called A Holly Dolly Christmas, and it's coming out in the fall," Parton shares with WSM Radio.

"I'm doing a duet with Michael Bublé, a duet with Billy Ray Cyrus, a duet with Jimmy Fallon, a duet with Miley [Cyrus], a duet with my brother Randy, and my niece Heidi is singing on that with us also."

"Then I’m doing several Christmas classics like ‘I Saw Mama Kissing Santa Claus’ and ‘Circle of Love’ from my Christmas of Many Colors movie," she further reveals.

Parton says that the ongoing pandemic has allowed her time to work on a number of projects at the same time, including writing music for a Broadway musical and co-writing a book with author James Patterson. "It's kind of got some music in it,” Parton explains of that project. "The characters are singers and it's kind of out of Nashville, but it's really a mystery."

If that wasn’t enough, the legendary country star says she is also working on expanding her already bustling brand with "perfumes and wigs and clothes and that sort of thing."

"I'm not retiring like some people I know," she jokes.
