Dan + Shay performed "Speechless" with American Idol Top 3 contestant Madison VanDenburg on Sunday, May 19 for the finale of season two of the reality singing competition show.

Shay Mooney and Dan Smyers took the stage with pink and red smoke floating about to set the mood. The pair started the performance with their current single, "All To Myself."

Mooney asked the crowd, "American Idol, how are we feeling tonight?" before giving a show-stopping vocal run!

Judge Katy Perry was seen bobbing her head and dancing in her judging seat to their performance. By the end of the first song, all three judges—Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan—were singing along with smiles on their faces.

The stage went dark for a moment when Mooney announced VanDenburg. The finalist originally auditioned with the duo's song "Speechless," so it seemed only right that she ended her time on Idol performing with the pair.

Dressed in a gold jacket, the singer looked thrilled to be sharing the stage with the country duo. The three voices together harmonized perfectly, with VanDenburg's higher-register vocals lending a new flavor to the song. At the end of the back-to-back performance, the judges and crowd were all on their feet in a standing ovation.

VanDenburg found out before her performance that she finished third place on this season of American Idol.

This summer Dan + Shay will be hitting the road supporting Florida Georgia Line on their Can't Say I Ain't Country Tour alongside Canaan Smith, Morgan Wallen, and Hardy.
