See a Preview for 2017 ‘CMA Fest: The Music Event of the Summer’ TV Special
The 2017 CMA Music Festival is coming to fans' living rooms this August, and co-hosts Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini have released a preview of the TV special. Readers can press play above to watch the teaser, which gives viewers a glimpse at CMA Fest: The Music Event of the Summer's star-studded lineup.
In the advertisement for the event, Ballerini and Rhett invite a couch-bound couple (and their dog) to join the party. The country stars step out of the couple's television set and into the living room, much to their surprise, and reveal a CMA Fest TV special lineup that includes Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Blake Shelton, Lady Antebellum and many more. Rhett and Ballerini promise a festival-like experience without leaving the house, also teasing several can't-miss collaborations: Rhett with Maren Morris, Darius Rucker with Karen Fairchild from Little Big Town and Dierks Bentley with Cole Swindell.
The teaser closes as Ballerini waits impatiently for Rhett to deliver a couch-side serenade to the family dog. CMA Fest: The Music Event of the Summer is scheduled to air on ABC on Aug. 16 at 8PM ET.
The 2017 CMA Music Festival brought four days of wall-to-wall music to Nashville on June 8-11. Free shows, nightly concerts at Nissan Stadium and Ascend Amphitheater and plenty of surprises awaited the fans who were in Music City for the massive annual event.
