The Abilene Cultural Affairs Council is holding the 3rd Annual Christmas in the Garden event in the Adamson-Spalding Storybook Garden on the lawn of the Abilene Convention Center (1100 N 6th St) on Friday, December 3, 2021.

To better accommodate the crowds, visitors can choose between two sessions: 5:30-7 PM and 7-8:30 PM. Visitors are encouraged to snag their tickets early, as space is limited.

Tickets for both sessions of Christmas in the Garden are $10 per family and can be purchased here. and only one pass is needed per family. Please specify the number of adults and children when booking your family pass.

Storybook Capital Express train tickets are an additional $1.00 each, and must also be purchased in advance. Make sure to choose train ticket times that coordinate with the same timeframe as your family pass.

To ring in the holiday season, youngsters are invited to dress in pajamas to see the fun in store at Christmas in the Garden: Family Fun on the Farm. Santa Claus himself will be on hand to hear Christmas wishes and pose for photos in a vintage red truck (bring your cameras, parents!). Mrs. Claus will be reading the storybook An Otis Christmas, written and illustrated by Loren Long.

Visitors can enjoy live entertainment and farm-themed crafts and food. Kids can also visit the May Farm petting zoo and enjoy a snow machine.

Located on the southeast lawn of the Abilene Convention Center in downtown Abilene, the Adamson-Spalding Storybook Garden showcases bronze statues of children's storybook characters as part of the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council's Storybook Sculpture Project. The Garden is also the site of the annual Children's Art and Literacy Festival in Abilene.
