At the recent First Responders appreciation picnic several of Abilene's finest and Crime Stoppers Executive Director Rick Dorman reminded me of the importance of sharing Abilene's Most Wanted Criminals on a regular basis to help ensure we keep the bad guys off the street in and around Abilene.

A little FYI on Abilene Crime Stoppers (ACS), they have been stopping and arresting criminals since 1981. Crime Stoppers mission has always been to deter crime and solve those unsolved cases in and around Abilene. One thing I know from the very beginning of Crime Stoppers is that you WILL remain anonymous no matter what.

As a matter of fact, your anonymity is their number one high priority with Abilene Crime Stoppers, the Abilene Police Department, and the State Police. The truth is law enforcement does not want to know who you are but rather have the information that you possess. So if you know where one of these bad guys is reach out to Crimestoppers and put some cash in your pocket.

If You Know something, say something and get paid. Call Abilene Crime Stoppers at 325-676-T-I-P-S (8-4-7-7)

If you recognize any of the wanted criminals on the Crime Stoppers list, know something about a crime, or know where a wanted criminal might be, call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 325-676-TIPS (8477).

The way that Abilene Crime Stoppers has been deterring crime in Abilene is by posting and distributing photos of criminals with warrants out for them. Abilene Crime Stoppers has been successful because of all the help it receives from you.

Be aware that the $1,000 reward is only good for the one featured criminal of the week, and for the week it was posted.

To submit a tip anonymously online click here, or call 325-676-TIPS (8477).
