Alan Ditch, a longtime crewmember for Brantley Gilbert, died on Saturday (Aug. 31), before Gilbert's scheduled concert in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was 49 years old.

According to the Observer-Reporter out of Washington, Pa., Ditch went into cardiac arrest at the KeyBank Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pa., around 2:45PM local time on Saturday afternoon, while setting up for Gilbert's show there that night. He was pronounced dead at 4:30PM.

Ditch, a native of Lewisport, Ky., was Gilbert's monitor engineer, assistant tour manager Corey Robertson tells the Observer-Reporter. He had worked with the country star for more than eight years.

Around 5PM local time on Saturday, the KeyBank Pavilion announced via Twitter that Gilbert's show was being postponed "out of respect for the family." Makeup date details have not yet been announced.

On Wednesday (Sept. 4), Gilbert shared a video in Ditch's memory. Set to Billy Joe Shaver's "Live Forever," the video compiles photos and videos of Ditch during his time on the road with Gilbert.

Gilbert and his crew were in Pittsburgh for his Not Like Us Tour. The trek will run until mid-October.
