Unbeaten Notre Dame met up with second ranked Alabama last night to determine the BCS National Championship and it looks like the Tide dominated the game from beginning to end. We've also got all the scores from last night in the NBA and NCAA as well as NFL news.

BCS CHAMIONSHIP GAME...

#2 Alabama 42 - #1 Notre Dame 14... The Crimson Tide walloped the Irish to capture their second straight national title and third in four years under head coach Nick Saban. Eddie Lacy ran 20 yards for the game's first score and caught an 11 yard A.J. McCarron touchdown pass as Alabama took a 28-0 halftime lead. The Tide rolled up 529 total yards against Notre Dame's vaunted defense.

 

NBA SCORES...

WASHINGTON 101 - Oklahoma City 99... Bradley Beal's jumper with less than a second remaining lifted the Wizards over a Thunder team that missed 16 straight shots at one point. Beal and Martell Webster had 22 points on the night. Emeka Okafor had 12 points and as many rebounds.

Boston 102 – NEW YORK 96... The Celtics pulled past the Knicks in the second half of a chippy matchup between Atlantic Division rivals. Paul Pierce dropped in 23 points to lead five players in double figures. Kevin Garnett had 19 points and 10 boards.

NEW ORLEANS 95 - San Antonio 88... Eric Gordon scored six of his 24 points during a fourth-quarter run that helped send the Hornets past the Spurs. Greivis Vasquez scored 14 points and dished out 12 assists.

CHICAGO 119 - Cleveland 92... Carlos Boozer powered his way to 24 points and 11 rebounds in leading the Bulls in their rout of the Cavaliers. Luol Deng scored 19 points and was one of five other players in double figures. Joakim Noah had 11 points and 11 rebounds.

UTAH 100 - Dallas 94... The Jazz outscored the Mavericks 26-12 in the fourth quarter to run away with the victory. Gordon Hayward came off the bench to score a season-high 27 points. Al Jefferson had 15 points and 11 boards.

PORTLAND 125 – Orlando 119... LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points and pulled down 12 boards as the Trail Blazers outlasted the Magic and handed Orlando its ninth straight loss. J.J. Hickson also had a big night with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Nicolas Batum and Damian Lillard each had 10 assists.

Memphis 113 – SACRAMENTO 81... The Grizzlies used a big second half to blow away the Kings. Wayne Ellington made 10 of 11 shots, including six 3-pointers, en route to a season-high 26 points.

CHIEFS NAME ANDY REID COACH... The Kansas city Chiefs introduced Andy Reid as their new head coach yesterday. Reid, who led the Eagles to a 130-93-1 record during his 14 seasons there, takes over a team that hasn't won a playoff games since 1993. The Chiefs were 2-14 last season and will have the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft.
