The City of Abilene Police Department Impound Auction kicks off Monday, June 16, 2025, with bidding hosted online at ReneBates.com. This annual event offers the public a chance to snag deals on a wide range of vehicles, many of which were abandoned, wrecked, or impounded for various reasons.

I've personally attended this auction before, and let me tell you, it’s full of surprises. From sedans and trucks to motorcycles, RVs, trailers, and even parts vehicles, you never know what you’ll find.
In-Person Vehicle Viewing
If you'd like to inspect the vehicles before bidding, the impound lot will be open:
- Tuesday, June 17, 2025
- Wednesday, June 18, 2025
- Hours: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
No walk-ins outside of these hours are allowed. You can also preview detailed photos and descriptions online at ReneBates.com.

Important Reminder:
Unclaimed items after June 27 will be charged a $25 daily storage fee per item.
