The City of Abilene Police Department Impound Auction kicks off Monday, June 16, 2025, with bidding hosted online at ReneBates.com. This annual event offers the public a chance to snag deals on a wide range of vehicles, many of which were abandoned, wrecked, or impounded for various reasons.

If you'd like to inspect the vehicles before bidding, the impound lot will be open:

  • Wednesday, June 18, 2025
  • Hours: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

No walk-ins outside of these hours are allowed. You can also preview detailed photos and descriptions online at ReneBates.com.

All bidders must pre-register and be approved at ReneBates.com. Once registered, you can browse listings and follow all auction instructions provided on the site.

To collect your items, you’ll need a paid receipt. If someone else is picking up for you, they must present a completed Authorization of Release form, downloadable from the auction site.

Important Reminder:
Unclaimed items after June 27 will be charged a $25 daily storage fee per item.
