A Mother’s Love was in Sailor’s Life Preserver [VIDEO]

I ran across this story while flying back from Memphis last month, it's a World War II story about a sailor, his life belt and his mother. I didn't know for sure if this story was true or not, I wanted to get it verified before I shared it with you. Come to find out the story is 100% factual and the sailor in the story was signalman 3rd class Elgin Leroy Staples of Akron Ohio.
