This years West Texas Rehab Center telethon and auction, raised more money than any other year in the 42 year history of the Rehab telethon. The final amount given as of Sunday evening was $1,335,664, that beats the previous record high of $1,271,367 set in 2008. The overall total in the 42 years the telethon has been broadcast, is almost 35 million dollars combined.

Director of Donor Relations Dan Huggins said “We are so grateful for the continued support and very pleased with the outcome.” The five hour telethon was broadcast in 10 cities, featuring country star Sunny Sweeney, host Charlie Chase and local talent Twyla Foreman. The auction raised $289,043, that amount is also included in the telethons overall total.
