This event is a run or walk  and there will also be a 1-mile walk option. All proceeds benefit the local Cross Plains Community Cancer Fund. If you per-register before September 1st, you'll receive a T-shirt commemorating the event. There's also a “Sleep-in” option. Check it out.

The library is set to receive an endowment for the arts. The 'Big Read' is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts designed to restore and promote reading in America.
