Walker Hayes fulfilled his promise to pay tribute to country classics in "90's Country," his new single. Thursday morning (Aug. 30) on Good Morning America, he served up a heaping dose of feel-good during the live television debut of the song.

In typical Hayes fashion, the song utilizes all sorts of quips and playful wordplay backed against a breezy beat. The up-and-coming star is suave as he explains to his lover how she makes him feel through a number of throwbacks to the '90s.

Hayes nods to "Strawberry Wine," "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy," "I Like It, I Love It" and more all in the first verse!

"Strawberry wine on your lips got me amazed / How 'bout you let this cowboy take you away / Gimme that wink / I'mma give it right back / You know you like it, you love it / You want some more of that," he sings.

He continues song-dropping in the chorus as he describes how his main girl gives him pleasant memories tied to '90s country music and small towns, begging "Do you love me / if you do, check yes please" with a tip of the hat to George Strait's "Check Yes or No."

The "You Broke Up With Me" singer announced on Tuesday (Aug. 28) that he'd be dropping this song and developed a clever campaign to promote the new music, recreating three of the most recognizable '90s country album covers with Garth BrooksNo Fences, Strait Out of the Box and Alan Jackson's A Lot About Livin' (and a Little 'Bout Love).

Hayes and his wife, Laney, experienced tragedy this summer with the death of their newborn daughter Oakleigh on June 6. The singer later announced he would resume touring at the end of the month. Next he's set to travel across the pond for a string of European dates on Old Dominion's extended 2018 Happy Endings Tour, kicking off in Dublin, Ireland on Halloween and continuing through Nov. 10.
