Tim McGraw recently collaborated with Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer and presidential historian John Meacham for a new literary project, Songs of America: Patriotism, Protest and the Music That Made a NationNow, the country superstar has shared that he and Meacham will be hitting the road in conjunction with book's June 11 release date for a book tour.

Songs of America promises to take a look at classic American songs, such as Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A" and the national anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner," examining historical context and insight into each tune. During the tour, McGraw and Meacham will provide an in-depth look into what went into creating the book, as well as detailing the co-authors' long-standing friendship and mutual interest in Songs of America's subject matter.

Additionally, McGraw will perform some of the songs featured in the book during the run, which kicks off on June 10 in New York City, and is set to extend through June 24, wrapping in Raleigh, N.C.

Songs of America isn't the only book McGraw will be releasing in 2019. In March of 2019, the singer shared that he has plans to put out a book called Grit & Grace: Train the Mind, Train the Body, Own Your Life. That project, he says, will detail his health and fitness journey, including his own fitness tips and regimen, but will emphasize the importance of everyone finding their own individual journey toward physical wellness.
