Thomas Rhett wore a variation on a classic to walk down the 2107 Grammy Awards red carpet on Sunday (Feb. 12). Wife Lauren walked with him, posing for photos as a couple and separately.

The "Die a Happy Man" singer wore a white tuxedo with a black shirt, pants and bow tie. The bow was trimmed in white, giving it just a little pop on an otherwise simple look. His shoes were also notable — dark loafers with a short or no sock accented his classy California look.

Lauren Akins let her long hair flow over a spaghetti strap top. The dark blue skirt flowed into near purple before the sparkles hit the floor. The couple kept it relatively simple for the 2017 Grammys, although country stars are rarely the ones to push fashion boundaries at this show.

Rhett was nominated in the Best Country Song category, but "Die a Happy Man" — a song he wrote about his wife — lost to Tim McGraw's "Humble and Kind" in the category during a pre-show ceremony. He's set to present an award at the Grammys, however. In fact, several country stars will take the stage in a presenting or performing role, highlighted by Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood's performance of "The Fighter" for the first time on television.

Musically Rhett is said to be working on his next studio album, the follow-up to Tangled Up. His current single is "Star of the Show."
