If you plan on attending Art Walk this Thursday, take my advise and wear some comfortable walking shoes. A lot of the downtown Abilene business' will be open and participating in this Alzheimer's Art Walk fundraiser.

Big Spring, Texas native Ryan Tannehill had a rough go of it in his NFL debut Sunday for the Miami Dolphins. Not surprisingly, the Houston Texans proved to be too much for Tannehill and the Dolphins offense in the 30-10 loss.

Growing up here in Abilene, home of Dyess Air Force Base you see and hear some pretty cool stories about our military. One of which is does Dyess have nuclear missiles or not? That I'll leave for debate later. The other is about our local missile silos. In high school I heard all kinds of things about the missile silos most of which scared me.

Fashion's Night Out. I keep getting invites to events here in Abilene but I keep seeing it on Facebook, TV, magazines and I'm still confused as to what it really is.
