With St. Patrick's Day coming up, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite movies and songs that get me in the St. Paddy's Day spirit. I like John Wayne in the "Quiet Man" or Judy Garland in "Nellie Kelly". Here's some video clips from some of my favorites.

The 'John Wayne Film Festival' (JWFF) is returning to Snyder, Texas for the second year in a row. The festival is set for Labor Day weekend, August 31st through September 2nd. The historic Ritz Theater on the square in Snyder is where you'll see some of the Duke's most popular movies on the big screen.

It's John Wayne day on the Encore Western channel, for two reasons. First, John Wayne was born on May 26th, so it's the Dukes birthday weekend and second, every Memorial Day weekend the Western Channel pays tribute to John Wayne by having a 'John Wayne Movie Marathon.'
