Thursday night at the Republican Nation Convention in Tampa, Florida, Clint Eastwood emerged on the stage and revealed himself to be the mystery guest speaker everyone’s been talking about (as if there was any surprise there).

For the second year in a row, Chrysler’s Super Bowl 2012 commercial featured a big star, and talk of an inspirational turnaround. Last year, in a memorable spot, Eminem informed the Super Bowl’s audience that Detroit, embattled hometown of both the rapper and Chrysler, was on the comeback trail.

If you were to name 10 celebrities you would never think would agree to appear on a reality show, veteran actor Clint Eastwood would be near the top of such a list (if not the top). But that’s about to change.

Clint Eastwood told reporters in 2008 that ‘Gran Torino’ was “probably” his last on-screen appearance as he was preparing to retire from acting. Now it looks like that isn’t the case. According to Entertainment Weekly the 81-year-old is currently in talks to star in the baseball drama ‘Trouble With the Curve’ as a veteran scout losing his vision.

Clint Eastwood isn’t exactly known for romances, either as an actor or as a director, so when word surfaced that he was planning to helm a remake of ‘A Star Is Born’ with Tim McGraw as a possible star, people naturally wanted to know more. We’ve heard plenty of the rumors as well, including the reported involvement (and subsequent un-involvement) of Beyoncé Knowles and Leonardo DiCaprio. Little ha
