This years two day "Swingin' Tex-Fest" to benefit the Ben Richey Boys Ranch will feature some new talent and some familiar names like Mark Powell and Lariat. The big news is, the change of venue, last year "Swingin' Tex-Fest" was held at the Taylor County Fairgrounds. This year Swingin' Tex-Fest organizers have moved the event to the newly opened "Back Porch of Texas"
The "Swingin' Tex-Fest" is coming to the Taylor County Fair grounds on August 24th and 25th, 2012. This is a two day fundraiser for the Ben Richie Boys Ranch. From what I've gathered this brainchild was a cooperative effort, between John Thomas of the Boys Ranch and Mark Powell of Lariat fame. Grammy award winner Junior Brown will be the headliner.
