This is the 40th year for the Ben Ritchie Boys Ranch Chili Super Bowl and Brisket Cook Off. This Annual event takes place in Buffalo Gap on Labor Day weekend.

The 39th Annual Chili Super Bowl is Labor Day weekend in scenic Buffalo Gap. All the fun and festivities take place Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th.

If you think you have some amazing grilling or cooking skills, you can show them off this Labor Day weekend, as well as help out a very worthy cause, with the annual chili cook-off in Buffalo Gap, benefiting Ben Richey Boys Ranch.

This years two day "Swingin' Tex-Fest" to benefit the Ben Richey Boys Ranch will feature some new talent and some familiar names like Mark Powell and Lariat. The big news is, the change of venue, last year "Swingin' Tex-Fest" was held at the Taylor County Fairgrounds. This year Swingin' Tex-Fest organizers have moved the event to the newly opened "Back Porch of Texas"

The "Swingin' Tex-Fest" is coming to the Taylor County Fair grounds on August 24th and 25th, 2012. This is a two day fundraiser for the Ben Richie Boys Ranch. From what I've gathered this brainchild was a cooperative effort, between John Thomas of the Boys Ranch and Mark Powell of Lariat fame. Grammy award winner Junior Brown will be the headliner.
