The annual ArtWalk/CarWalk is a car show in Downtown Abilene. It's usually scheduled for July but has been moved to March. This years CarWalk will feature lots of classic, muscle, antique and new cars. CarWalk is open to everyone.

This months Center for Contemporary Arts 'ArtWalk' is themed 'For the Love of Movies' and promises to fill the air with romance. This months Center for Contemporary Arts 'ArtWalk' is themed 'Mardi Gras Madness' and promises to be just as fun as the real Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Bring the entire family to the historic downtown area of Abilene where restaurants, shops, museums, galleries and entertainment are waiting for you. If you dare, wear your favorite Mardi Gras mask or paint your face and join the parade.

Art-Walk enters into uncharted territory on September 13th, when the Center for Contemporary Arts (a non-profit themselves) raises money and awareness for another non-profit, the Abilene Alzheimer's Association. Due to bad weather, the Center for Contemporary Arts and event organizers have cancelled CarWalk for tonight. CarWalk will be rescheduled in July ArtWalk happens every second Thursday of the month, however CarWalk is only once a year. Car-Walk will be from 5pm till 8pm in downtown Abilene, most of the action will take place in front of the Center for Contemporary Arts at 220 Cypress.
