Runaway June are still in shock to be joining Carrie Underwood on her Cry Pretty Tour 360 next year, even though the superstar has let the trio know before that she's a fan.

"We still can’t believe it," member Jennifer Wayne admits Taste of Country Nights’ Sam Alex. "We weren’t excited until it was in ink, and we were like, 'Don’t tell us until it’s for sure.' I mean, it’s just a dream tour."

But the choice to bring Wayne and her Runaway June bandmates Naomi Cooke and Hannah Mulholland on the road was just one of the many ways Underwood has helped the all-girl band throughout the years.

"She’s been so great to us," Wayne shares. "We played with her on the CMAs two years ago — we were part of her all female band. Now she sends us Christmas presents every year and she tweets our lyrics, so she's been so supportive."

So, how did the 2017 Taste of Country RISERS celebrate the tour news?

"I was at a Mexican restaurant with my sister and we were already drinking margaritas and stuff," Mulholland admits with a laugh. "We got a text from our manager saying, 'You guys got it!' and I flipped out."

Watch Runaway June Perform "Fast as You"

While Underwood's Cry Pretty Tour doesn’t kick off until May 1 of next year (Underwood is pregnant with her second child and will take a maternity leave first), the trio says they are hard at work to make sure they put on their best show when it's time to head out.

"We’ve been on the road awhile honing in our show and rehearsing like crazy just to put out the most fun show we can," Wayne says.

Of course, the all-girl band has also been busy putting new music out, including their single "Buy My Own Drinks." The trio will release their self-titled EP on Sept. 7. It includes a cover of Dwight Yoakam's "Fast as You," which they performed during the RISERS video shoot.
