Country superstar Maren Morris and iconic performer Sheryl Crow shared a brand-new song during the 2019 CMT Music Awards. The two singers took the stage -- sadly, without their other collaborator, rock great Stevie Nicks -- together to perform "Prove You Wrong."

Morris led into "Prove You Wrong" with a performance of her own song "Shade." She and Crow -- a contrasting pair with Morris in a sparkling mini-dress and Crow in jeans and a flowy top -- traded lead vocals on the rootsy, guitar-driven jam. Throughout the performance, their friend Brandi Carlile could be spotted standing in the crowd and jamming along, flashing the "rock on" sign in approval.

"Prove You Wrong" comes from Crow's forthcoming album of duets, Threads, due out this summer. The singer-songwriter is set to co-headline Carlile's second annual Girls Just Wanna Weekend in early 2020, leading an all-female lineup that also includes acts such as Amanda Shires, Jade Bird, Yola and many more.

For her part, Morris has kept a busy performance schedule throughout 2019, including several crossover appearances, such as a Coachella gig during which she performed her massive Zedd collaboration, "The Middle." Morris recently added dates to her Girl: The World Tour in support of her new album, Girl, too; the international run features an all-female lineup that includes Cassadee Pope, RaeLynn, Tenille Townes, Kassi Ashton and Hailey Whitters. Her newest single, also titled "Girl," arrived in early 2018.

Each year, the CMT Awards help kick off Nashville's annual CMA Fest. This year, the event took place at Bridgestone Arena and featured a showcase of performances and awards. Little Big Town hosted the 2019 event, after serving as hosts for the evening during the 2018 CMT Music Awards, too.
