Heartbreak might hurt, but according to Luke Combs, something that will never do you wrong is a good old beer. Country music has plenty of sad songs on the subject, so just as he did in his most recent No. 1 single "When It Rains It Pours," the singer performed "Beer Never Broke My Heart" to bring some humor to the topic.

In the video shared to Combs' Facebook page we see the singer sitting in front of a microphone with his guitar, telling his audience that he is about to treat them to something new. Combs then jumps into "Beer Never Broke My Heart," which lists all of the things that have left him feeling broken, such as ex-girlfriends and even sports teams. As the song continues, the list grows, but one thing that has never done him dirty is a nice cold beer.

Combs sings, "I've had a large mouthed bass bust my line / A couple beautiful girls tell me goodbye / Trucks break down, dogs run off, politicians lie, gettin' fired by the boss / It takes one hand to count the things I can count on / There ain't much that ain't never let me down." He continues into a chorus that is met with rapturous applause: "A longneck iced cold beer never broke my heart." The audience may be listening to the song for the first time, but they already know it well enough to chime in on the chorus, and it feels like an instant classic.

This spring Combs will be on the road for the spring leg of his Don't Tempt Me With a Good Time Tour. More information about the tour can be found on his official website. Comb's freshman album This One's for You is available for purchase on Amazon and iTunes.
